Ilya is a CEO and Co-founder at Data Egret (formally known as PostgreSQL-Consulting). He has a vast amount of knowledge on Postgres and alternative systems and many years of experience supporting range of clients from large enterprises to small start-ups with their database administration and maintenance. A biologist by training, Ilya switched his focus to IT industry 15 years ago and didn’t looked back ever since. Ilya has been working with Postgres for over a decade specializing in troubleshooting, performance tuning and maximizing database operating system and hardware stack throughput. He enjoys sharing his knowledge with the wider community and is always eager to learn more.
