Who is it for
Designed for teams running PostgreSQL on Amazon RDS, Aurora PostgreSQL, EC2, or hybrid environments, it provides expert, data-driven analysis to identify slow queries, inefficient indexing, autovacuum problems, I/O bottlenecks, or architectural constraints that limit scalability.
What you get
After the workshop, you’ll receive a report outlining key findings, prioritised recommended fixes, and the expected performance gains. Performance Optimisation Workshop is followed by a 1-hour review call.
The Performance Optimisation Workshop quickly reveals what slows down your PostgreSQL — and shows you exactly how to fix it.
Performance Optimisation Workshop
A focused PostgreSQL database consulting engagement for teams dealing with slow queries, inconsistent response times, locks, or workloads that no longer scale.
Explore, Investigate, Analyse & Plan
Through structured preparation, an interactive deep-dive session, and a detailed recommendations report, you’ll gain clarity on root causes and receive a prioritised plan for improvement.
This workshop quickly reveals what slows your PostgreSQL and how to optimise it.
Our Process
1. Kick off call
We collect expectations from the involved teams, establish a clear problem definition, and explore feasible solution approaches based on available resources.
2. Preparation & Testing Instructions
We provide detailed instructions outlining the information needed for the Workshop — including both load and query tests on the application and database side, as well as required monitoring data.
3. Data Submission & Analysis
Your team submits the collected results, which Data Egret analyses to prepare for focused Workshop discussions.
4. Workshop Session
During the Workshop, we review the first draft of the solution based on our analysis, refine it collaboratively, and work out the optimal approach together.
5. Post-Workshop Report
Drawing on Workshop outcomes and deeper technical analysis, Data Egret will produce a written report providing a detailed implementation roadmap, ready for execution by your team or with our assistance.
6. Follow-Up Call
We walk you through the report, discuss the proposed plan, and answer any remaining questions.
