This plan is built for technology teams who want to retain ownership of their PostgreSQL infrastructure while having expert guidance at hand. It’s ideal for developers, DevOps teams, or CTOs at startups and growing companies who need trusted PostgreSQL expertise — without the overhead of a full-time DBA.

Unlike a full-time DBA, this plan offers flexible, high-impact support when and where you need it most. You keep full control of your systems — we don’t access your infrastructure. Instead, we provide targeted recommendations, configuration reviews, and performance insights that your team can implement directly. It’s a lean, cost-effective way to access top-tier PostgreSQL expertise.

We operate on a 24-hour SLA (during business hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00 CET). Most requests receive a first response well within that window, depending on volume.

No, unused hours do not roll over. The plan includes up to 60 hours per year and a maximum of 20 hours per calendar month to ensure we can maintain consistent support capacity for all our clients.

We support PostgreSQL-compatible managed cloud services like Amazon RDS, Aurora PostgreSQL, and Azure Database for PostgreSQL, as well as standard PostgreSQL and commonly used open-source extensions.

However, we do not support proprietary forks such as EDB Postgres. If you’re unsure whether your setup is supported, feel free to share the details and we’ll confirm.

Each support request is handled as a structured question-and-answer exchange through our Jira Service Portal. You describe the issue or question, and our team responds with a tailored recommendation or follow-up questions. Time is billed in 30-minute increments, and you can continue the exchange in the same thread until the issue is resolved.

The Ultimate PostgreSQL Support Plan is not intended for urgent or on-call support. If you’re looking for faster SLAs or hands-on incident response, we offer separate support packages better suited for those needs – please contact us for details.

That said, we can help with post-incident analysis (e.g., reviewing logs, performance traces, and configuration) to identify root causes and prevent recurrence. This falls well within the scope of the Ultimate plan.

Once your plan’s annual quota is used up, we’ll notify you. You’ll then have the option to purchase additional hours via our On-Demand Consulting service or move to a different plan.

All tickets are logged and time-tracked in our Jira ITSM portal.

There you’ll be able to view a running total of used hours and see how time per ticket was allocated.
